Seen IT? Utility Worker Critically Injured In Hit-Run Pickup Crash

Authorities turned to the public for help finding the driver responsible for a hit-and-run crash in Metuchen on Monday that left a utility worker in critical condition.

A white pickup truck struck the victim in the crosswalk at Middlesex Avenue and Grove Street around 9 a.m. Monday and kept going,  police said. 

The pickup, possibly a Nissan Frontier, has an extended cab with markings on the side and tailgate, Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet and Metuchen Police Chief David Irizarry said in a joint statement.

The driver had a passenger, authorities noted.

The victim was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, they said.
